MICHAEL L. ROTHENBERG, Esquire

Michael Rothenberg is a founding partner of our firm. Mr. Rothenberg practices in the areas of criminal defense - both felonies and misdemeanors, personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accidents and injuries, medical malpractice, workers compensation, business litigation, contracts, parole and probation, criminal appeals, family law - including divorce, child custody, child support and modifications, corporate law, wills, discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace - including federal civil and criminal practice.

 

Mr. Rothenberg is licensed to practice in all Georgia Trial Courts, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
Mr. Rothenberg is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and belongs to the Criminal Defense Section of the State Bar. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association, the American Trial Lawyer’s Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Clayton County Bar Association.                       

 

Mr. Rothenberg is a 2002 graduate of the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where he earned his doctorate in jurisprudence. He graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida in 1999. His college honors thesis may be found amongst the collection of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Throughout his career, Mr. Rothenberg has gained a reputation as a zealous advocate of his client’s interests. Highlights of his career include not guilty verdicts for the falsely accused – including being part of a team that secured a not guilty verdict in a murder case in 2004 – civil judgments and settlements against individuals and large corporations and reported decisions from the Court of Appeals.

JEFFREY M. BARNES, Esquire

Jeffrey M. Barnes is a founding partner of our firm.  Mr. Barnes practices primarily in the areas of real estate litigation, business litigation, contracts, discrimination, medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, and family law – including divorce, alimony, child custody, child support and modifications. Mr. Barnes is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia and all Georgia Trial Courts.  He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

 

Mr. Barnes is a graduate of the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned his doctorate in jurisprudence.  While at Temple University, he served as a staff member of the Temple Political & Civil Rights Law Review.  Mr. Barnes graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Finance with a specialization in international business.    Mr. Barnes was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Freedom High School.

MARK A. COUNTS, Esquire

Of Counsel
Mr. Counts is a member to the State Bar of Texas, the National Association of Dealer Counsel, the Associated General Contractors of America and the Construction Law Section of the Texas State Bar. Mr. Counts was a fourteen year veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Infantry, Ordinance and Judge Advocate General's Corps, an associate attorney in two prominent litigation firms and the labor and employment attorney for Fort Polk, Louisiana. He is currently an employment law consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense. He is certified as a multi-jurisdictional practitioner by the New Jersey State Bar and is currently seeking admission to the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Counts' practice focuses on litigation in the automobile and construction industries, employment law and arbitration.

 

Mr. Counts was born in Richlands, Virginia and he attended Garden High School in Oakwood, Virginia. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute & State University (Va. Tech) and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Infantry School. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant by the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School in 1993 and was awarded the rank of Captain in 1997. He graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2000. He is a former Langdell Scholar, a former Adjunct Professor at Upper Iowa University and Cy-Fair College and the recipient of six Phi Delta Phi academic achievement awards. For his military service, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Commedation Medals, the National Defense Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon and two Army Achievement Medals.

GABRIEL W. BONACCI, Esquire

Mr. Bonacci primarily practices in the areas of business, commercial and civil litigaiton, including business law, contract disputes, construction defects, insurance coverage, bad faith, negligence defense, and products and premises liability, as well as handling appeals to Texas state appellate courts. Mr. Bonacci has experience handling administrative matters before the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In addition, he has experience in assisting start-ups and small to medium companies in entity formation, and regularly advises clients on contractual and general business issues. Furthermore, Mr. Bonacci is a frequent speaker and has presented numerous seminars concerning entity formation, insurance claims handling procedures, construction law, construction defects and insurance law matters.

 

Mr. Bonacci received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communications in 1992 from the American University in Washington, D.C. and received his Juris Doctorate in 1995 from South Texas College of Law. Mr. Bonacci was born in San Jose, California and is a 1987 graduate of St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas. He resides with his wife and their two daughters.
